Scope of Project

The consultancy provided practical training on ‘clinical audit’ to the Heads of the Department and Associate Professors of this 1000 bed teaching hospital. The next project we are working on is to audit the obstetric department of this hospital. Interviews of clinical and non-clinical staff, organizing and facilitating focus group discussions for the patients opinions and feelings about the hospital and its service delivery, regular dialogue and brainstorming with hospital management, data collection, its analysis and report writing form an integral part of the project.

Scope of Project

Mrs. Jhawar has been appointed as the SRF for this ‘funded’ epidemiological study that aims at studying the regional differences in cardiovascular and diabetes risk factors within the urban population of India. It is being conducted in all the major States and Union Territories of India among urban populations. The national coordination centre, and data analysis centre is the   consultancy in Jaipur with collaboration of All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi and University of California San Francisco in USA.

Scope of Project

The consultancy is involved in carrying out a research to estimate the direct, and indirect costs incurred by patients who have undergone intra-operative bile duct injures, and  been referred to SGPGI (a 600 bed hospital) - as the tertiary referral centre for their treatment. The objective is to increase awareness for timely referral, education and training among the primary health centers for reporting such cases, and to mobilize resources for creating appropriate funds for needy patients.

Critical analysis-Healthcare Initiatives and Innovations of the Gujarat Government.

Scope of Project

Mrs. Jhawar was assigned the task of conducting a critical assessment of the initiatives and innovations undertaken in healthcare by Gujarat (a state of India) government. This work entails a comprehensive critical review of the Healthcare infrastructure, organisation of health departments, the policies and their implementation in Gujarat. Interviews of personnel both from primary and secondary healthcare, as well as from the private sector involved in Public Private Partnerships, plus extensive field reviews of the PHCs (Primary health centre), CHCs (Community health centre) and District Hospitals has formed the backbone for conducting the study. This section shall be a part of 7-8 others where various experts are being brought on the panel for the critical assessment pertaining to their specialty. The overall document will be brought out in a book form of which the renowned Mr. Arun Shorie has agreed to be Editor.
